Caring for patients from all across our state, nation, and globe, the University of Iowa Eye Program makes a difference in countless numbers of lives year after year through research, education, and patient-care. We will not stop at anything less than accomplishing our mission of treating, curing, and preventing blindness.

Along with the clinical practice in the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, the Institute for Vision Research focuses on groundbreaking findings through collaborative work with departments all across campus. With a specialty in rare, inherited eye diseases, the Institute for Vision Research provides information and hope to afflicted patients.

Through charitable giving, our best and brightest can invest resources to cure blindness. Because philanthropy advances research and faculty time, timelines to effective treatments and cures are shortened.
